Recently, there were a lot of names who spoke against the Kathau rape case be it Ritesh, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and others but social media only targeted Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor and the likes that they are hungry for public. Excerpts:The film was ready in 2014, what took so long to release it?I don’t think it was stuck for all these years as we were reworking on it for many reasons so it took another two years but in fact, GOW (Gangs of Wasseypur) also took two years to kind of put together. I don’t think I hold responsibility as a public figure but as a woman, I do. Whenever I do a part, I try and bring some humanity to the character. The scale of the film is huge as we shot in Ayodhaya palace, Faizabad, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai and the outs******ts of Mumbai. So enjoying the bliss with Ali Fazal…We hardly get to meet each other. Although, invariably I will be embarrassed of some films I do but I always learn something from my bad or good films.Any thoughts on Abhi To Party Shuru Hui Hai?It is a full on comic caper.Your film choices look like a calculative formula to position as a brand…I don’t think so this is the case with me. Paro is madly in love with Dev and has accepted his flaws. I know enough about my culture, my people and my country.

Richa gets chatty and pours her heart out on her relationship with Ali Fazal, her film choices, charity, forthcoming venture and more. Recently, he finished his schedule of Milan Talkies in Lucknow and I started my schedule of Abhi To Party Shuru Hui Hai there so we hung out. I just want to do good films either they are completely non-commercial like Masaan or they are highly commercial like Fukrey franchise. She went on to impress with powerful performances in films like Gangs Of Wassepur, Fukrey, Ram-Leela, and Masaan, to name a few.How is the camaraderie of Paro with Chandramukhi in this one?In the previous Devdas, they are dancing together. One has to pay a price of what we speak. The plot of Paro and Dev’s love story is pretty much similar but since it is a political غير مجاز مي باشدa so there is a lot of conspiracy, assassinations and blood bath all over. In this one, they only meet once in the film. I am really happy that we were able to meet even if we have to travel together for the sake of being together. How do you feel being a household name especially in the two tier cities? That’s a very welcome surprise for me because I want to reach India as I am very rooted. We get to see a non-glamorous Paro in Daas Dev…

I guess the first two Paros are non-glamorous only. We both are working actors hence meet once or twice a month. It is a wonderful ensemble of people like Saurabh Shukla, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Pawan Malhotra and so on…How’s your charity work going on back there in Punjab? It is going very well. She is back with yet another unconventional dose of drama Daas Dev..How you maintain the unconventional instinct in your film choices?I feel out of the league also finds me. Suchitra Sen only had one bindi, kajal in her eyes and a cotton saree throughout the film. I am really lucky that these filmmakers trust me for playing such parts. As an industry, we still carry a ***ist mindset. I want to be proud of my filmography after spending some time out here in the industry. There is no as such camaraderie between the two but they know whereabouts of each other. How do you manage to guard yourself in this industry?I don’t think I do controversial stuff but I do get trolled for my opinions but it is fine. I think I should do more of charity now as 50% of my total work is about charity.Richa Chadha might not have a run-off-the-mill Bollywood tryst, but the actress who made her debut with a rather whimsical character in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye!, ALOx film manufacturers set the tone of her film choices from the word go

Using radar and wireless technology, two smart poles installed on a bend detect speeds of oncoming vehicles, then communicate with each other to alert approaching vehicles on either sides with a horn. Gaurav’s ad film shot in the style of a documentary shows the entire journey from inception to realisation. The problem with road signs is that most of them are written in English and most truck drivers obviously cannot read them. While Gaurav is elated at having received an award, he says that he was confident that the film would do well at Cannes. The Roads that Honk project was initiated at Patni Top in Jammu, where one of the most dangerous hairpin curves cause the largest number of accidents.“Just the day before he had discussed going into business with his friend, getting their own fleet of trucks. It helps make so many lives safer,” PVDC coated film says Gauvrav, who happened to walk into the Leo Burnett office, right when the project was being discussed.#Roadsthathonk was an initiative taken up by HPCL and NHAI to ensure that accidents along the hairpin bends of mountains are reduced.

“There is an accident in the mountain roads every six to seven minutes,” says Mumbai-based celebrity photographer and DOP Gaurav C Bhatt, who directed a short film documenting a possible solution to the problem. Talking to him made me realise how real the problem is,” Gaurav adds.A perfectionist at heart, Gaurav wanted to know the truck drivers completely before shooting the film. So, I went and personally spoke to them, as well as the people in the local police stations around Jammu, where hairpin bends along the road cause a large number of accidents,” he explains, adding that one of the men he spoke to had just gone through a tragedy the day before.Just as unpredictable weather, long drives and freezing cold are a part of the life of a trucker in the mountains, so are accidents.“It has always been my life’s aim to create something that influences people. That very evening, he got news that there’d been an accident and that his friend had passed away. So when this project presented itself, it seemed like the perfect thing to take on.

With proper exposure, this can really make a difference in their lives,” says a hopeful Gaurav. “When we went there to shoot, there was an accident right in front of me. The Patni Top signal has already started to have a positive effect, and other government bodies have also started to show their interest in the project. “I wanted to know how difficult their lives actually are, and the challenges they have to face. An amber light also flashes on, so that the driver automatically knows to slow down. Still a platform like Cannes is incredible, with over 10,000 entries coming in from across the globe! So, of course I was nervous, but I believed in the idea and I think that the positivity paid off,” he says.An ad film on this innovative technology, shot by Gaurav , is now not only the first Indian film to have made it into the Cannes Innovation Lions 2017 but has also won a Silver in the category. It also won a bronze in the Cannes Design 2017 category.. “I believe in affirmation, and I knew that the film as well as the concept itself was exceptional

”She is full of praise for Mahesh Babu and his wife Namاين نام مجاز نمي باشد. “I am back after 13 years of absence from the screen. I had no intention of returning to cinema.”Bollywood stintShe recalls her brief association with Hindi cinema with fondness. This time I couldn’t say no to him. I also did a film with the great Amitabh Bachchan called Zamanat which, for reasons unknown to me, never got released. I had turned it down. Amitji is such a great star. And I didn’t to do it half-heartedly — didn’t want people to point a finger at me and say, ‘Look, another actor is using politics to get noticed. Even one film a year is enough. politics,” she laughs. I did some more Hindi films, including Tejaswani where I played a cop and did my own stunts. Now that it’s over I will miss them. At the moment I haven’t accepted any other role. It was a lovely film. When I heard the role and got to know I’d be sharing screen space with Mahesh Babu, it seemed just right to take on the role. It’s very rare for a leading lady to return after so long with such a powerful character.

And I had a lovely role in it. The response is overwhelming. Again he came back to me with Sarileru Neekevvaru.”After delivering many hits in the 1980s and 90s in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, in author-backed female-oriented roles, why was she missing from the screen since 2006?“Politics sir. “They looked after me like their own family. I also acted with Mahesh Babu when he was a child. That remains a regret. Do you know, they used to call me ‘Lady Amitabh’ in Telugu cinema because of the author-backed strong characters I played.”.. Even now they call me by the names of the popular characters I played.”So what made Vijayashanti change her mind?“Mahesh Babu and director Anil Ravipudi! Anil had offered me a role just a year before Sarileru Neekevvaru. Amazing!”Vijayashanti is astounded by the reaction to her role in Sarileru Neekevvaru. Happy to know the audience hasn’t forgotten me and my roles.”Vijayashanti has always been associated with films and roles that empower the heroine. “The response is unbelievable.

“I had been acting for 40 years when politics beckoned.’ It didn’t even occur to me that I could use my strong image in cinema to propagate my political ideas. Do you know I started my career as a heroine with Mahesh Babu’s father (Krishna) in the Telugu film Kilaadi Krishnudu in 1980. Until this week we were together, shooting, promoting the film. It had to be politics wholeheartedly. “I decided to plunge into the creation of Telangana. Sarileru Neekevvaru is no exception. “I’m lucky to get such a part so late in my career.I don’t need to do a film unless I’m convinced it’s worth my while. “The first Hindi film I did was Eeshwar with Anil Kapoorji. And I’m open to it, provided it’s worth my while.Vijayashanti is delighted and surprised with the great response to her return. I didn’t want to continue with a film career.”When she joined politics she had no intention of ever returning to cinema.. And KPET film now I’m sharing the screen with him. They all want me to do more roles. To me, cinema was cinema and politics was politics. Now that the Telangana state dream has been realised I hope to do selected roles from now on. But the role has to justify my presence

The story revolves around five mute friends who plan a night out together and their life changes upside down when they find the dead Prabhudeva on an isolate road. Karthik clearly wants to tell facts and statistics of people died with mercury explosions till date but the flimsy plot surrounding it does enough damage. However, Karthik does a successful attempt in making a silent film which is true to it genre, but is enjoyable in parts.Although, Karthik creates a wonderful world around his dumb and blind characters but couldn’t manage to scare even a bit. Though, his weird walk, facial expressions and screams does gather attention but he is just about okay. First half holds enough promise but second half downslides completely.

Karthik Subbaraj, who earlier directed Pizza brings you an one of its own kind of silent thriller, Mercury. The climax is too melodramatic barring few chase sequences pre climax shot in the chemical factory.Rating: Director: Karthik SubbarajCast: Prabhudeva, Sananth Reddy, Remya Nambeesan, Shashank Purushotham, Deepak Paramesh and others. With no dialogues and dance numbers, the film manages to entertain but motive behind the making this film is lost somewhere. He is the driving force of Mercury, rest of the leads are just about average including the supporting cast.Watch &Acrylic coated film online39;Mercury' trailer here:.Overall, Mercury is a below average thriller which can be watched if you have nothing great to do over this weekend. By the time, you will understand that why the film is titled Mercury, its too late.

He tries too hard to impress by penning a twisted plot but it appears to be staged and formulated.Prabhudeva’s presence is good but not petrifying considering he is highlighted as a villain in the film. The film has a clever plot but fails to keep up the momentum till the end. Will these group of friends find the real killer or get trap in the unwanted mess? What happens next forms the rest of the crux. Few bits in the film will remind you of Reema Kagti’s supernatural thriller Talaash but this one is not half as gripping as Talaash. Don’t expect an extraordinary plot or performances! # You may be more intelligent than this highly preachy social drama. Looks like, Karthik just lost the plot and his story goes haywire. He couldn’t fall back on the background score which ideally should be the backbone of the film. Sananth Reddy packs a solid punch with his power packed performance

”Ashutosh Rana who is known to have done strong characters in Hindi and South films as well is coming up with a film ‘Yeh Kaisa Tigdum’. Yes, we may feel this is her first film, but the way Janhvi has worked incredibly hard that we will see her as a fresh and a new actor with loads of capabilities on par with her performances. Working with Janhvi Kapoor in &MPET film online39;Dhadak', the actor is all praises for this petit beauty. So the inevitable question is if he noted some resemblances and similarities in acting - to her late mother Sridevi.I could see her “nahi toh aapki kisi bhi ball ke upar woh sixer dal denge!!” [if you don’t come up to their talent they may ball a sixer on you performances Janhvi is too exuberant a performer especially the way she has performed in her debut film will spellbound the audiences.

He says “I am feeling blessed to have got to do four different characters in this film. This film is being directed by Ismail Darbar, # being his debut directorial flick.”. Having got a chance at this juncture of my life to perform four different characters, I feel blessed and happy. You have to rejuvenate your performances while working with new and fresh kids, especially Janhvi who comes all prepared to the T….Mumbai: Actor Ashutosh Rana is doing a pivotal role in ‘Dhadak’, which marks a debut film of Janhvi Kapoor. I immediately understood working with them that I cannot take them lightly. Ashutosh says, “About having resemblances to mom Sri I would request all you guys including the audiences that whenever there blooms a fresh and new talent- debutante, we need not to kill his or her individuality.

I am the hero, I am the villain and also I am playing the rest of the supporting cast.”Adding further more, Ashutosh mentions, “While acting with Janhvi and Ishaan Khatter, in fact I had to try something different. In fact I had to imbibe their energies and try to come up to their talent. Rana opines that we need to watch any debutante as an individual. I having worked with Janhvi feel that she has a different approach to acting. While performing alongside these fresh debutantes’ I started feeling that my performances’ too experienced something new and fresh, I felt , I performed with a touch of rejuvenating in my acting calibre. Read what Ashutosh has to say…. Ashutosh plays four different characters in this film. Especially comparing them to old actors is not at all justified

Das, though, admitted that she would never make a period film again because it became extremely difficult to recreate a previous period due to the "clutter" that sets in with pasغير مجاز مي باشدe of time, which eventually spoils everything.Asked about which historical PVDC coated film for sale character he would like to play, Nawazuddin said he would love to portray Dilip Kumar's character in the iconic film 'Mughal-e-Azam'. If art has to flourish, it needs freedom."He is so relevant today, and his work is the best way to respond to contemporary times. He was tried for obscenity six times. The filmmaker said she found similarities between Manto and Nawazuddin's anger, sense of humour and arrogance, while revealing that the actor had not charged a dime for the film. People think I am good at doing roles of a gangster only, but I can do 'royal-type' roles too.He said the commercial aspect of a film has prompted him to dance, something he otherwise would never imagine of doing.

My personality is often underestimated.Das said she chose Manto as a subject for her film not because of his religion or nationality, but for what the writer stood for. I speak a lot of lies, was polluted and had to purify myself before playing the titular role". He had deep conviction, and that gave him a lot of courage.Jaipur: The concept of censoring films by a board is "faulty", says noted actor-filmmaker Nandita Das, asserting that a handful of people cannot decide what an entire nation wants to see. The lead actor of the film Nawazuddin Siddiqui was also in attendance. He was a big champion of free speech and fought many battles. The 48-year-old film personality said it was very "dangerous" that some self-proclaimed custodians of culture were telling people what was right and wrong. The actor said his upbringing in a secular set-up was the reason for his sound understanding of Hinduism.

If we are not going to fight for our freedom, who will?" she asked.Speaking from the packed Front Lawns of the iconic Diggi Palace, the award-winning artiste spoke at length about her upcoming film on celebrated writer, Saadat Hasan Manto. He wrote stories that were raw and truthful. I find them interesting," he said. They are belittling you (audience) by saying that we know what you should watch and should not watch."Larger censorship issues are coming up now.Opening up about his role in 'Manto', Nawazuddin said, "The biggest difficulty in playing Manto was being a truthful person."Manto defined himself as a human being beyond the identities of nationalism and religion."They are actually undermining the audience."I would definitely love to do it.. That is why, I felt Manto was the right person to talk about in my film," she said. How can a handful of people decide what all of us as a nation want to see?" she said at the Jaipur Literature festival here on Friday. The whole concept of a censor board and to censor films in itself is faulty

One-film-old female protagonist Akshara Haasan is so pretty that she lights up the screen whenever she comes in front of the camera, but she needs to spruce up her acting skills. We advise you to miss LKSMLD this weekend or go and watch Mukti Bhawan for a spiritual trip!. Though Saurabh Shukla, Darshan Zariwala and Sanjay Mishra are just about average. He joins a food joint owned by Sanjay Mishra as a steward. The film will remind you of Preity Zinta starrer Kya Kehna in the second half.Veer (Gurmeet Choudhary), a royal lad who loses his parents and fiancé in an accident is living a lonely life in his palace. In a desperate attempt to save the script, the writer-director has included unnecessary humour that will make your head spin.Rating: Director: Manish HarishankarCast: Vivaan Shah, Akshara Haasan, Gurmeet ChoudharyDo you believe in love?

If you are an ardent fan of sob stories, then Laali ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana is for you! Director Manish Harishankar will take you on a free holiday to snow-laden exotic locales at the غير مجاز مي باشدt of just a movie ticket price. Vivaan Shah is so awful that one must actually doubt he is the son of veteran Naseruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. The film is a proper yawn fest. When a film doesn’t have a plot or even fair performances, no one can save it from sinking.Laddoo (Vivaan Shah) leaves his small town and parents to work in Baroda. A tale of clichéd romances and sacrificing for true love, LKSMLD has everything that will bore you to death. They both freak out and Laddoo leaves Laali helpless with a baby bump in an urge to earn moolah. Kavitta Verma is a powerhouse of melodrama stuffed in silicon surgeries. LKSMLD is like any other love triangle story and seems more like a holiday trip for the film’s team.

The two start dating and incidentally Laali becomes pregnant. 130-minute is so difficult to spend in the metalized BOPP film theatres that one might walk out of the theatre. Laddoo falls for her at first sight. Laali (Akshara Haasan) is a frequent visitor there. The cinematography by Ravi Yadav is breathtaking but the film is too dragged out in the second half. His caretaker Suhasini Muley and family pandit advice him to marry a pregnant girl for his betterment, as per astrology. The story penned by Manish Harishankar comes as a shocker since the film has nothing to do with it. Veer meets Laali and falls in love with her.The music by Vipin Patwa isn’t good either especially when every ten minutes a romantic song comes. The only saving grace of the film is Gurmeet Choudhary who is perhaps a figure among ciphers. The only good thing about the film is its cinematography. Who will Laali choose in the end is what LKSMLD is all about. If you think this is how a love story is supposed to be, trust me, you wouldn’t want to have one
